At the Kroc School, we are investing in the future of peacebuilding through education. We believe nobody should be turned away from a career in peacebuilding due to financial constraints. With this goal in mind, the Kroc School is establishing the Kroc School Diversity Scholarship Fund. The Diversity Scholarship Fund is a powerful step towards ensuring that individuals from all walks of life have equal access to opportunities to pursue a peacebuilding career.
Diversity is a crucial component of any successful community or organization, and the Kroc School recognizes this by defining diversity broadly. We define diversity to include the full range of the human experience, including but not limited to: age, different abilities, race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression and identity, language, learning style, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status, justice-impact, status as a veteran, and different political and world-views.
By including a range of experiences, perspectives, and identities, we aim to create a fund that encourages an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone can thrive, where ideas are challenged and explored in a safe environment rooted in peace and justice with a mission to shape peaceful and just societies through transformational learning and knowledge generation that drives change.
This scholarship fund will support students who may face systemic barriers to accessing higher education, including those from low-income backgrounds, marginalized communities, and underrepresented groups.
As a society, we must acknowledge that systemic inequalities exist and actively work to dismantle them. Supporting a diversity scholarship fund is one small but significant step toward creating a more equitable world. By donating to this cause, you are not only supporting individual students but also creating a more just and inclusive society, opening the door for all students to pursue their purpose-driven careers.
Join us in making a contribution to the Kroc School Diversity Fund and together we can cultivate thoughtful and innovative changemakers.

About the Author
The Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (Kroc IPJ) launched in 2001 with a vision of active peacebuilding. In 2007, the Kroc IPJ became part of the newly established Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies, a global hub for peacebuilding and social innovation. The core of the Kroc IPJ mission is to co-create learning with peacemakers — learning that is deeply grounded in the lived experience of peacemakers around the world, that is made rigorous by our place within a university ecosystem and that is immediately and practically applied by peacemakers to end cycles of violence.
