Kroc School of Peace Studies is excited to announce [distinguished political scientist, Dr. May Farid](https://www.mayfarid.com/), to join the Kroc School faculty this coming fall. Dr. Farid's expertise lies in the fields of civil society, environmental governance, development issues, advocacy in China and beyond. As a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University, Dr. Farid continues to expand her expertise and engage with fellow scholars, further enriching her knowledge and contributing to the academic discourse.  As a scholar-practitioner, Dr. May Farid has dedicated her career to bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Her scholarly pursuits have taken her to numerous countries, where she has conducted in-depth research, gaining insights into the intricacies of civil society and environmental governance. This hands-on experience has not only shaped her understanding of these critical issues but has also empowered her to provide meaningful guidance to international NGOs.
