In June of 2022, Gazelle Ecosolutions took to the stage at the Kroc School's Peace and Justice Theatre at the University of San Diego to accept the honor of the 2022 Grand Prize Winner at the Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge (Fowler GSIC). The eco-restoration startup founded by a group of undergraduate students at The University of Texas at Austin has developed The Gazelle App, which enables ranchers to sustainably manage grasslands, improve sequestration, and plugin to voluntary markets.
This innovative idea won them $25,000 in seed funding and a branding identity package from San Diego-based branding and design firm Cubic Orange at the 2022 Fowler GSIC Finals.
After months of work with the branding and communications experts at Cubic Orange, Gazelle Ecosolutions has launched its new brand. Cubic Orange founder Vladimir Guskic said of the rebranding project and the Gazelle Ecosolutions team, "It was so fun partnering with the Gazelle. They are so smart and passionate about their amazing app. I'm so proud that we were able to work with them and produce something that looks so appealing while also being rooted in their identity. The final product came out so nice and embodies so much of what makes the Gazelle team fun and amazing."
The Fowler GSIC is an initiative of Spark @ USD, a global accelerator for social innovation and impact. Since 2011, the competition has connected more than 2,500 students from more than 25 countries around the world recognizing their outstanding social ventures based on positive impact and financial sustainability. To date, we've distributed more than $600,000 to seed the most innovative and promising global ventures.
We aim to inspire student entrepreneurs around the world to connect and create sustainable business solutions to global challenges. Every year, students from around the world nurture an idea from inspiration to practical application, networking with changemakers, collaborating with mentors, all while competing for up to $75,000+ in seed funding, and additional perks such as branding packages and more.
